James' beauty and sexy style has been referred to as traffic
accident inducing. Her career is only getting better and she's already a star
in her own right. This alluring blue-eyed blonde has appeared in high profile
fashion shows, on magazine covers, TV shows and movies.
James was born in Omaha, Nebraska, on April 23, 1979. She was discovered at the age of fourteen while attending a modeling school in Nebraska. After being spotted at her graduation fashion show, James traveled to New York to start modeling and her career as a model began.
James has been photographed by the industry's top photographers and has appeared on the covers of many fashion magazines. Early in her career, at the age of fifteen, James had already worked for Vogue, Mademoiselle, Allure, Seventeen, Glamour and Harper's Bazaar. She has most recently graced the covers of Cosmopolitan and Details.
As a model, James has already become a star in the fashion circuit, having walked the catwalks of big league fashion designers such as Chanel, Christian Dior and Marithe & Francois Girbaud. James has appeared in advertisements for Bebe, Benetton, Guess?, Kenneth Cole, Macy's, Mondi, and Nordstrom.
In addition to modeling, James has had her share of experience on the screen. Her television credits include appearances on Catwalk, Unzipped, Naomi Conquers Africa, as well as appearances as herself in Beautopia and Original Copies. James' film roles include "Four Faces of God", "The Happy Campers" and "Bar Hop". Occasionally, James co-hosts MTV's House of Style with host Rebecca Romijn-Stamos.
On the big screen, James landed the role of a nurse in the big budget film "Pearl Harbor", and also played Johnny Depp's daughter in the film "Blow". In addition to these films, James can be seen in several music videos by George Michaels.
James sports at least six tattoos; a diamond on her wrist, two fairies on her lower back, "King" between her shoulders, and a symbol on her lower back. In addition to her tattoos, James has body piercing in her tongue and nipples. She enjoys listening to music by The Wu-Tang clan, Tori Amos, Fiona Apple, and admits to being a huge Britney Spears fan. Her hobbies include writing and photography.
